Crumbs & Coffee

For about 6 months, they've been building a new coffee shop. Right by my house. Like, 3 blocks from my house. About 3 blocks closer than the next-closest coffee shop. (I don't count the Starbucks, which is also like 6 blocks away, since I won't go there.) Anyway, it's in this building that used to be a senior center. I have no idea what they did with the seniors when they displaced them. There's also a bank, which opened about 4 months ago. I'm not too excited about the bank because 1. it doesn't have an ATM and 2. mostly it seems that people use it to wire money to Mexico or Guatemala, and I have no need of that.

Anyway, last night, Crumbs & Coffee was open! Finally! I don't normally drink coffee, but I like sitting in coffee shops to read, and I like some of the other treats they sell. And since I don't drink coffee, I don't have a coffee maker, so it's good to have someplace close by for guests who don't like the nescafe I offer them. Which I think has been pretty much all of my coffee-drinking guests. I didn't go in yet, but from the peek I got, it looks a lot like the PJ's I used to go to a lot when I lived in New Orleans.
