Baby Pools & Sangria
There's this row house I walk past on my way home from the bus (well, and on my way to the bus in the mornings, too). Their yard is this teeny patio, which backs right up onto the sidewalk. They have a gate, but it's like waist-high, so you can see everything in the yard. I am so jealous of their yard!
Last summer, I walked past one afternoon, and they had a baby pool out there. How cool is that? I would so much love to have a baby pool. Well, actually, I did have one in college, but it was sort of hard to fill up without a hose, and I had to keep it on the balcony, which probably wasn't all that safe. Anyway. The next morning when I walked past, the baby pool was full of water, and there were empty bottles and various other party accoutrements around the patio, and, well, some floating in the baby pool. I would seriously like to have a baby pool party.
A few days ago, on my way home, I noticed they had a pitcher of sangria on the table, and 2 wine glasses. No people out yet. I like to imagine that somehow the sangria magically appeared, just waiting for them to get home and enjoy their yard. It looked so inviting.
Most of the time, I like living in an apartment. I like not having a yard to take care of. However, I would really like a little patio. And more closet space, but I guess a girl can't have everything.

Happy Birthday Genevieve! Hope that your day is a good one and maybe you will get invited over for some Sangria or a baby pool party to celebrate!
thank you, Molly!!
Happy Birthday! How young are you today? Are you doing anything fun to celebrate it? Aren't birthdays fun? :-)
Thanks, Mark! I am 30 today. I have been consuming copious amounts of sugar all day, and I'm going to dinner tonight with my dad, and then having a party, but not for a couple weeks, because it's joint with my friend Robin.
