Yoga hurts
Yesterday Colleen and I went to a yoga class at the gym. I've done yoga at home, but never in a class, and the tapes I've done are all 30 minutes long. This class was an hour and a half. Colleen had never been to a class at the gym. I am pleased to report that we both made it through, despite Colleen's suggestion of taking a spot by the door "in case we need to sneak out."
When we were through, Colleen said she didn't feel like she had worked out, because she wasn't sweaty. I told her that tomorrow she would probably be sore.
Today, I can't really move my shoulders back. I ran into Colleen at the food court in the Reagan building at lunch today. I asked her if she was sore, and she said EVERYTHING hurt.
I think I liked the class.

Hey, how was your birthday? You never mentioned anything about it!
Yeah, I didn't want to seem self-centered by focusing on my birthday. But considering the mere fact of writing in a blog is fairly narcissistic, I guess I should have!
It was great. Erika took me to lunch. My dad took me to dinner. Lots of emails and phone calls all day. And, I still have a party on the 28th to look forward to!
Classes at the gym are good for making it hard to get out of bed the next day.
Glad you had a good birthday, sounds like it was fun!
thanks Molly!
I would love to be motivated -- and have time enough -- to take yoga classes somewhere. If the body is one's temple, mine is in need of some repairs!
You should try it, Bridget. I really like it, even when it's hard.
