It's hard to drive without a turn signal

Saturday, I was driving home from the store when my turn signal broke. Not the fuse... the lights still work. It's the little stick thing that you use to put the signal on. It's all loose and it doesn't make the arrow lights come on. Unfortunately, I actually need to drive this week, since I'm housesitting until Wednesday morning. I just called my repair shop to try and get an appointment for later this week. I hope they can fit me in. You don't realize how much you use your turn signal until you don't have it. I've been trying to only make turns from "turn only" lanes. It's an interesting way to drive.
