No Philimination?

I am slightly obsessed with The Amazing Race. I think it's partly because I like to travel, and I like to see other people go to places I've either been or would like to go. (or sometimes, they go to places I have no interest in visiting, but not too often.) It's partly because I like to watch how people handle themselves in traveling situations, which can be stressful without the win-a-million-dollars pressure. I'm impressed with players who manage to finish a task despite professing a true fear for the task. I mean, I am really, really scared of heights. There have been several tasks that I'm sure I could not have completed because of this fear. There's been other stuff they've done that would have been scary and I might not have liked it, but as long as it's not up high, I could complete it.

Last night, they completed what seemed to be a complete leg... detour, roadblock, yield, travel by interesting contraptions. And they were told to "go meet Phil on the mat" but when they got there, they discovered it wasn't a pit stop, and Phil gave them their next clue. Say what? No Philimination? I was kind of thinking it was going to be a non-elimination round, and my guess was the old couple would be non-eliminated again. But now they have a whole! 'nother! hour! to catch up. My favorite team (the brothers) were Philiminated last week, so now I'm kind of rooting for Joyce & Uchenna.
