I'm your Native [Daughter]
You gotta love a city where you can walk down the street and first smell a party, then see one in a parking lot, on a Thursday night. It's JazzFest time and I'm back in New Orleans. Well, sadly, not really for JazzFest, but for my swearing in ceremony tomorrow, and to help the Granster pack up her house. And to do some job hunting. My sister Les is here too, so that's fun, although she's usually grumpy when we have to share a room because she says I snore, talk in my sleep (sometimes even in French! what fun) etc, etc.
And yay! it's humid here. It must seem strange that I'm happy to be sticky and sweaty, but after the drying out stages of winter, my body is craving some swamp air. I've got eczema on my hand and constant bloody noses. I'm hoping to get rid of that this weekend.
Must sleep now. I've been up since 3:10 am EDT, which is 2:10 am CDT, so it's been um, too long to count how many hours that is. Almost 24, with only a brief two hour nap this afternoon.
