Checking in from Rouens

My sister & I have just returned to France from Poland. We liked Poland a lot, even though it rained all day yesterday. Amanda says "the dragon was cool." I will post pictures of it later.

We heard about the London tragedies from our mom, who called our cell phone to tell Amanda happy birthday (today's her birthday). It is truly awful and we have been trying to learn more, but as our tv in the hotel room only has 2 news channels, and the second channel plays the audio track of the first but with different pictures and people clearly saying different words, it's hard. I will have to buy a paper tomorrow -- I have a bad habit of blocking out the world whilst I travel.

we're in an internet café in Rouen that seems to be populated with teenage boy gamers of the Dungeons and Dragons sort, so we need to leave!
