I hate when you send someone an email, with a direct question no less, and then it takes for-ever for them to reply.

Or maybe it's just that you want to hear back from this person, and so what seems like forever to you is really pretty normal.

Bah. I don't think so. How hard is it to reply when you read the message?

Is clicking "check messages" the same as sitting around waiting for the phone to ring?
