So, last night my mom, grandmother, and 2 of her friends walked up to the parades. The first parade rolled by, no problems. Gran and her friends left, and Mom and I stuck around for the second one. After 3 floats (one of which was this really cute giant bathtub), the parade just stopped. We thought it was just stuck. That happens sometimes, and normally it'll start up again within 15 minutes. We waited 10 minutes, nothing, and since we hadn't had dinner yet and we were expecting company, we decided to walk home. It took us about 15 more minutes to walk home, and still, the parade didn't start up. When we got home, we discovered on the news that it was stopped because 4 people were shot on the parade route! It was horrible. One woman, who apparently was just a bystander, died. Four teenagers are in jail this morning for the shooting.
