Savannah Smiles
I spent this past Easter weekend in Savannah with my family. My dad decided that we should take a trip for Easter, since we're all living in different cities, except me and my dad. None of us had ever been to Savannah before. I thought it was really quite lovely. A lot of it reminded me of New Orleans. Old homes of a certain era. Lots and lots of tourists. Horse drawn carriages (except in the Quarter they are mule drawn.) Seafood.
My sisters and I wanted to tour the home of Juliette Gordon Low, the founder of the Girl Scouts, since we were all Girl Scouts. The home was beautiful, and we learned a lot about Juliette Gordon and her family. We heard a story about how her 70 year old mother, who was on her deathbed, slid down the banister. Which was really steep!
I think my favorite part of the trip was the fact that it was so warm and sunny. It's been so cold and rainy this alleged spring in Washington that it was nice to be outside without a coat.
