I went to buy a bagel for breakfast this morning, and I think the bagel lady is illiterate. You're supposed to fill out these forms with your name and the kind of bagel/cream cheese you want, and leave them on the counter. They fix your bagel, and then they call your name, hand you the bagel and your form, and you give the form to the cashier so she knows how much to charge you. This morning, the bagel lady wasn't using the forms at all. She was just asking for people's orders. It was causing chaos. People were frustrated. She kept forgetting what people wanted, and they'd say, "It's ON my form!" She'd reply, "Those forms are for the cashier."

I don't think there's anything I can do, since I don't really know the bagel lady. I hope someone notices and helps her out. It must be impossible to function without being able to read.
