Havana Nights

I finally saw Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights last night. I loved it! It was totally cheesy, but the dancing was great. Dare I say, dirtier than the original Dirty Dancing. The plot was weaker, however (not that Dirty Dancing had such a great plot to begin with, but this one was a little worse.) Patrick Swazye was back as a dance instructor. Erika thought he was supposed to be Johnny Castle still, but since this movie actually takes place in the 1950s, and the original in the 1960s, and Patrick Swazye is lots older now, that wouldn't really make sense. He never gave a name in the movie, but he did help Katie learn to be a better dancer. But alas, no discussions of "this is my dance space, this is your dance space." And the soundtrack was great! I highly recommend this movie for a little escapism.
