I won at Casanova
Last night, I went to a screening of Casanova. The movie was good, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a little romantic film for the holiday break. That's not the exciting news though. The exciting news is I won a radio prize pack at the movie!
If a screening is sponsored by a radio station, they usually do trivia contests. I usually know the answers, but I have only won once before. Last night, the first 3 questions were about actors in the movie. I knew them all, but I didn't get called on. Question 4 was about the radio station. Now, it just so happens that I have a radio in my shower, and the only station it gets is Q107. (um, OK, Mix 107.3. Sorry. I'm going old school there.) Anyway. The dj doing the trivia was from Q107. The question was about the host of the morning show, and could anyone name one of his 5 children? I could! Conor! Thanks, shower with sucky radio reception.
In case you're wondering, I won a Mix 107.3 mousepad, which I gave to Alison, a Mix 107.3 tshirt, and a Josh Kelley CD. I have no idea who Josh Kelley is. I'll give the CD a listen later today, but does anyone know anything about him?

I can relate to the crappy shower radio reception, mine gets various stations depending on the day of the week. At least yours paid off! It is alwas fun to win.
hum. Maybe I'm lucky? with my shower radio... at least I don't have to adjust the dial daily!
Oh, if you get a chance, catch the BBC serialised (3 episodes) Casanova drama with David Tennant, it was just sublime.
Reuss, thanks for the tip. I just checked netflix & its not on dvd, so I will keep my eyes out for it on BBCA. (LOVE BBCA, by the way. I am throughly caught up in a silly show called Mile High, and I cannot wait for Teachers to return.)
Congrats! :D Its always fun to win something.
I second Reuss' recommendation on the BBC version of Casanova - they screened it here a few weeks ago - it seems like David Tennant is everywhere at the moment - even popping up as the bad dude in HP and the GOF.
wow. i remember Q107. i hadn't thought about that in years.
I know! That's probably 'cause they stopped being a radio station when I was in high school, so over 10 years ago. *yikes!*
