We have a Woman Down!

Last night, my friend Rachael and I were walking to have dinner, when all of a sudden, this woman walking towards us just dropped down and fell onto the sidewalk. There was a loud thud, and it looked like she hit her head on the pavement. We ran over to her, and Rachael helped her up. She said she was OK, but Rachael said, "Do you want me to call 911?" at the same time that I said, "Do you want me to get a taxi to take you to the hospital?"

When she heard me say "hospital" she got very upset! "Does my face look that bad?" she asked. We both assured her it did not, which was true. She clearly will have a black eye, and her nose was bleeding, but it didn't look that bad. I was more worried about her brain! It seems to me, if you hit your head hard enough to make a loud thud on concrete, you should probably be checked out.

She told us she was going to just walk back to her hotel. I hope she is alright.
