Is it a Rule

that if you are on a plane, the person you would least like to be sitting right next to you will in fact be assigned to the seat next to you? Even if the plane is mostly empty?

Thanks to the pilot on my flight home from Baton Rouge who told me I could move, even before the plane door had closed.

how small was the plane if the pilot was taking an interest in your seating arrangements?

I seem to have relatively good karma when it comes to plane seating - especially when the plane is emptyish - they spread us out to help with balance.

it was small, but definitely not the smallest plane ever. 2 and 2 seats on each side of the aisle, about 20 rows. The pilot just happened to be sitting across from me, taking a little break, during the boarding process.

Since there were only like 20 people on the flight, anyone who wanted their own row got it.

The balance thing sometimes makes me nervous!

I always wonder why in movies people often meet a totally hot guy on the plane. I have never had that luck. Rarely is there even a hot guy ON the plane rows away. I hate sitting next to someone who invades my personal space. Ick!
